Our story

My name is Lisa Covey and I own Covey’s K-9’s along with my husband Jayson Covey.
 

We were born and raised right here in the Plattsburgh/West Chazy area in NY. We have been avid campers for many years but decided that this year was going to be the year to live out our dream owning and LOVING our own business caring for DOGS!!! So, we sold our camper and have put all our love and time into a place where we can finally achieve our dream and we want to share it with you!  We are avid animal lovers of all kinds! We own pets that range from fish to cats and our very special, one-of-a-kind, mohawk wearing (all natural) dog named Heine (after Heineken beer)!

Our Mission

Covey’s K-9’s is a 5,000 square foot facility located at 5 Latour Ave. Suite 100. Its spaciousness allows for ample footage for play, a bathing room and eventually full grooming and boarding as well!! As we are finishing up construction and getting everything in order for opening day, I hope you will take advantage of this time to fill out an application for off leash play at our facility. This way I can get started looking through them before we fully open and can be ready for business (play!) when that day gets here! I will call you so we can make an appointment for an evaluation for your pup and get set up for some off leash fun!!

My dog never comes home dirty because they have special green turf that absorbs urine and they pick up poop frequently. She loves every dog like they’re her own.
